General Process
- Once you are signed up with Service Fusion, your personal Implementation Manager will first reach out to you to introduce you to Service Fusion. During this conversation they will ask if you have any data you need exported from previous software. If you say yes, the success manager will reach out to us so we can set up a date and time with you.
- Export call -- We will reach out to you and initiate a screenshare. If there is a server, we will need to do the screenshare on that. While we are grabbing the data out of your software, we will learn more about your needs, wants, and answer any questions you may have.
- After the export, we will review the data and reach out to you if we have any questions.
- As we start importing in the types of data (customers, equipment, job history), we will reach out to you at the end of each day and let you know the imports that have been completed. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to us, we will work with you to make any adjustments you see fit.
- Once all the data is imported, we will reach out to you one last time to confirm this with you. If you were still working in your old software while the imports occurred, we will set up another time with you to grab this new data. Anything that was created after the first export date, will then be imported into your system.
FAQ
How long will it take to import my data from my old software?
We take pride in our ability to migrate your data in 2-5 business days. This is all depending on the amount of data and time needed to complete the transfer.
While you are working on my data, do I have to stop working in my old software?
Once we grab the data from your old software, you can either continue to work in that system, or start recording the information in Service Fusion. As a learning mechanism and a way to save time, we suggest the customer records the information in Service Fusion. If you decide to continue to work with the old software as we import in your data -- no worries, we can go back into your old program and grab the updated tables. We will only import the new information that was created from the first export to the last.
What data can you import into Service Fusion?
Currently, we can import the following information into your Service Fusion account:
- Customers
- Multiple Customer Service Locations
- Service Maintenance Agreements
- Customer Equipment
- Estimates and Jobs
- Rate Lines
- Products
- Services
- Flat Rates
- Vendors
- Inventory Stock
Acowin
We will need to grab the "ACOWINDATA" folder from the computer Acowin was installed on. We will need to make sure all .DBFs, .CDXs, and .FPTs are in the folder. This is what we use to grab the data.
Dispatch.me
The only way to export out of Dispatch.me is through the "Reports" section. There will be a "FILTERS" section on the top that will allow you to sort through 2k jobs and 9k customers. If they have more than that limit, you will have to create multiple reports.
Your Jobs -- Job information
Your Customers - Customer information
Your Billiing -- Estimate, invoice, payment, invoice item history
ESC
There are two ways we can export data out of ESC. The best method is creating a SQL database backup of your ESC. This can be done by going into the server ESC was installed on. This can be accomplished by our data team during the Extraction call of your onboarding.
Another option is opening up your ESC and going to File > Import/Export > Export Data to ASCII. This provides you a list of all the tables you can find in the database. It exports the data to .txt file, which we can easily open with Excel. The only down side to this, is you have to export one table at a time. It may take 30 minutes to an hour to complete.
Housecall Pro
We can export customers, job history, and products/services from Housecall Pro.
Customers -- Go to Customers and make sure you select all columns available by clicking on this icon:
Next, click on the the 3 dot icon right next to the column selection icon and select "Download customer list". The email on the account will receive the export.
Job History -- Click on the Dash icon and look for the "Jobs" section. From there you will see the eye icon. Click this and you will be viewing the Jobs report.
On the blue bar menu, Click on the date range that is showing and make sure you select "CLEAR".
Next, click the "Table columns" and makes sure all columns are checked. Click the green "SAVE" button after this is completed.
Finally, click the Excel icon. A box will appear making sure you want to send the report to the email address. Click on "SEND" and you are done.
Estimate History -- Follow the guide for export jobs, but at the beginning you will not click on an eye icon, instead you will select "SEE ALL ESTIMATES". The rest will be exactly like exporting the jobs.
Pricebook Export --
Step 1. From your web portal main dashboard, click “Price Book” from the top main navigation.
Step 2. Click the cog icon on the top right of the price book page.
Then select the “export price book” option from the cog icon dropdown:
Step 3. Once you select “export price book” from the drop-down, you will receive a notification message that “your price book will be emailed to you as a CSV file”. The file will then be sent to your email address used in your Housecall Pro account.

Service Titan
The best way to get data out of Service Titan is via the custom reports section and search feature in Service Titan. How to export the Pricebook:

Some of these columns don't have to be selected. We just want to make sure we get all the IDs and data we know we can add to our templates.
- Once you create the report, you can now run the report and export. Make sure you change the date range to be to where all data will be there, I usually do 1/1/2000-1/1/2030.. For Jobs, Estimates, Rate Lines -- it would be best to filter by "Creation Date".
